May 16th, 2012- On Sunday May 27th, 2012 Duck River Speedway will host the “Tribute to the Men and Women of Armed Forces” $3000 To-Win 40 lap Super Late Model event, along with regular divisions racing that include: 2 Barrel Late Models, Pure Stock, Outlaw Pony, Pure Pony and Mini Mods. Gates Open at 3pm Drivers Meeting at 6pm and Racing starts at 7pm. General Admission will be $15 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $30, Kids 12 and Under $5. Duck River Speedway is located at 1100 Haskins Chapel Road Shelbyville, TN.

May 12th, 2012 -Due to forecasted weather for later this afternoon & tonight, Tonight’s races at Duck River Speedway have been canceled, We will also be closed next weekend May 19th, 2012 and return to racing on Sunday May 27th, 2012 with a $3000 To-Win 40 lap Super Late Model Event. May 9th, 2012- Duck River Speedway will racing on Saturday May 12th with a Regular Points Race for All Classes: Super Late Model, 2 Barrel, Pure Stock, Outlaw Pony, Purestock Pony & Rookie Pony.

We are working with Thunderhill Raceway to bring drivers and fans, prime racing action as Thunderhill Raceway has elected to not race super late models this week. Mark your calendars for May 26th & 27th, as both tracks are hosting $3000 To-Win Super Late Model events, Saturday May 26th at Thunderhill Raceway and Duck River Speedway on Sunday May 27th.

Sat. May 12th Gates Open at 4pm Drivers Meeting at 6pm and Racing starts after Drivers Meet. General Admission will be $10 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $25, Kids 12 and Under $5.

April 23rd, 2012- Duck River Speedway will be racing this Saturday night April 28th, 2012 with a Regular Points Show, with the exception of NO Super Late Models. This will be the make-up race for the April 21st show. The weather has caused us to have to make provisions in our posted schedule. We will race the same show we had previously posted for 4/21/12 with No super late models. Gate opening times have changed to Gates Opening at 4pm and Drivers Meeting scheduled for 6pm. Everyone bring a guest and come support your favorite class and driver and lets get the Duck back rolling.

April 21st, 2012 -Due to cooler temperatures and inclement weather conditions races for April 21st have been Canceled. We will be closed on April 28th, 2012 and Re-Open for Racing on May 5th, 2012 for a Regular Points Race.

April 16th, 2012- Duck River Speedway will be running a Regular Points Race this Saturday April 21st, 2012 with All classes racing with the exception of the Super Late Models which will NOT be running this weekend at Duck River due to a couple of larger super late model events in the area on April 21st. They will return on May 5th.

ATTN: 2 Barrel Division- We have amended Rule #2 B, Many of you have brought to our attention on the cost of racing fuel and the majority of you had rather run E-85 fuel, so beginning April 21st the 2 BARREL Division may run E-85 Fuel.

Also beginning April 21st our start times have changed Gates Open a 4pm, Drivers Meeting at 6pm and Hot Laps and Racing to start shortly after Drivers Meeting.

April 8th, 2012 - Duck River Speedway will be running a Regular Points Race Program this upcoming Saturday April 14th, 2012. Gates will open at 3pm, Drivers Meet at 5pm and events will get started shortly after the Drivers Meeting. General Admission will be $10 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $25, Kids 12 and Under $5.

April 2nd, 2012 – This Saturday April 7th, 2012 at Duck River Speedway, the 2012 Points will begin with Double Points for all classes. The lineup will remain the same as last Saturday, as we only were only able to get hot laps in. Gates will open at 3 pm, Drivers Meet at 5pm and Hot laps and racing will begin shortly after drivers meeting. General Admission will be $10 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $25, Kids 12 and Under $5.

March 31st, 2012 - Well folks mother nature was victorious again tonight, just as we were about to get under way the bottom fell out of the sky and soaked the speedway. We will be back next weekend Saturday April 7th, 2012 to give it another go to get the 2012 season started at Duck River Speedway. We apprectiate the drivers, fans, track personell and everyone for coming out tonight, thanks for your support for Duck River and we hope to see you all back next week

March 24th, 2012 - Tonights races have been called off due to the amount of rain received at the speedway today. We will open up this weekend March 31st, 2012 with a Regular Show. Gates will open at 3pm, Drivers Meeting at 5pm and hot laps and racing to start after the drivers meeting.

March 19th, 2012 – Duck River Speedway (Wheel, Tn.) will kick off its 2012 season this Saturday March 24, 2012 with a full regular race program. Back under the management of Jim Hastings and Tim Smith, weekly racing returns in 2012 to the speedway after a limited schedule of special events ran in 2011. Hastings and Smith have been hard at work since January to put together a schedule, rules and preparing the track to bring back a weekly racing program for racers and fans at Duck River Speedway for 2012.

Saturday’s racing program will see all divisions racing that include; Super Late Models, 2 Barrel Late Models, Pure Stock, Outlaw Pony, Pure Stock Pony, Rookie Pony and Legends. The first race of the season will be a non-points race. Super Late Models and 2 Barrel Late Models will qualify for starting positions and all other divisions will run heat races to determine starting spots.

Action is set to get started on Saturday March 24th, 2012 with Gates Opening at 3 pm, Drivers Meeting will be at 5 pm and Hot Laps and Racing to begin shortly after the drivers meeting. General Admission will be $10 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $25, Kids 12 and Under $5.

Race fans come on out and enjoy a night of great racing and see some of the south’s best racing action since 1973 at Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tn.

NO beer will be allowed into the grandstands or pits. Beer will be available for sale at the track.

March 11th, 2012 - Duck River Speedway will be having its Open Practice for all divisions this upcoming Saturday March 17th, 2012 from 12 noon till Dusk. There will be a $10 entry fee for practice, grandstands will be closed and everyone must enter through the pits entrance.

Two weeks away and the Duck will be taking flight with its Season Opener on Saturday March 24th, 2012. With a Regular racing program, it will be a non points race for all divisions.

January 2nd, 2012- Duck River Speedway is proud to announce that Tim Smith and Jim Hastings will be taking the reigns back over in 2012 at Duck River Speedway. Stay tuned to the website and message boards for 2012 Rules and Schedule. that will be posted in the next few days, as details are being put together and finalized.
